About Me

I have been fully vaccinated for Covid and will always protect you by masking and working in your Aura (4" from your body) if hands-on treatment is not comfortable for you or if you have not been vaccinated.

I have been a Reiki Practitioner since 2017 when a friend introduced me to Reiki energy healing following my own health scare. As part of my practice and philosophy, I strive to both educate and help my clients ignite their own healing abilities, empowering them to live better and healthier lives.

My approach is to utilize a combination of both eastern and western methods. Reiki is not intended to replace traditional medicine, but to work in conjunction with it. If you need a positive, energetic, empathic and caring Reiki Practitioner, please don’t hesitate to reach out to find out how I can help you restore and revitalize yourself - as well as your beloved pets.

Reiki Defined

Empower & Heal

Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing that can help alleviate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual stress. It is a way to ‘tune-up’ your energy to its healthiest state allowing for healing to take place. Reiki is a gentle and safe healing practice that is geared towards removing any energy blocks in our system caused by emotional, mental or physical stress and pain. During a Reiki Session a practitioner places his or her hands on the client with the intention of the Reiki Energy to flow. This Reiki energy, also known as the Universal Life Force Energy, is not the practitioner's energy. It is a divinely guided energy that knows exactly where the blocks are and pushes them out as well as fills up the energy gas tanks wherever you are low in energy. And because Reiki does not use the practitioner's energy it is safe for both the practitioner as well as the Reiki recipient. You do not run the risk of absorbing the practitioner's energy and vice versa. During a session a person may feel heat, tingling or cooling sensations as blocks are removed. Most all clients get to a deep state of peace and relaxation during a session.

Reiki Philosophy
Reiki philosophy is based on the body's ability to heal itself naturally once energy blocks are removed. Reiki is not tied to any religion or a particular spiritual belief system and can never cause harm. It is intended to be for the Greater Good.

Reiki Helps to Achieve Complete Wellness
More and more people are seeking complementary, alternative healing methods to achieve complete wellness. Some medical practices only treat the symptoms and never fully address the initial cause of the problem or fail to look beyond the physical to address the mental or emotional state of the patient. Reiki can help you achieve complete wellness by addressing the physical, mental and emotional issues that can be holding you back from achieving perfect health of mind, body and spirit.

Practices Similar to Reiki
Reiki is similar in nature to other energy practices like Qigong and Tai Chi which helps to unblock and re-establish a healthy flow of energy throughout the body. Unlike these practices, Reiki taps into the Universal Life Force Energy whereas Tai Chi and Qigong require a build up of your own energy or Chi. Reiki is like acupuncture without the needles - the idea being that if you remove energy blocks and allow for the natural flow of Chi then the body is heals itself. It is also similar to the Chiropractic where the philosophy is that if the spine is in alignment the body can more readily heal itself. Like Chiropractic, if your energy is in alignment, the body is better able to maintain health and overall well-being.

Reiki Sessions
During a Reiki session, the client lies down or is seated fully clothed. The practitioner next places her hands on or above the body and allows the REIKI to radiate from the hands and sends energy to each of the 7 chakras.

The Seven Chakras

The seven chakras or seals are powerful energy centers within the body which represent different levels of consciousness. Chakra means “wheel”; a vortex of vibration, light and energy. A chakra point is where two lines of energy cross. They are located in the astral (light/energy) body. Some people think of them as little computers; each center processes different information. There are seven major chakras and many minor ones. Each major chakra relates to a different gland. The first three levels of sexuality/survival, pain/suffering and power respectively represent the dynamics at play in social consciousness and in the human drama. When the upper centers are activated a higher level of awareness is experienced.

What you spend your time thinking about and contemplating, what is important to you is where your energy will be dominant. If you are concerned about how you will pay rent or where you will get your next meal your focus will be on the first chakra or base chakra. This chakra also relates to being “grounded” or Mother Earth.

If your concern is related to your sexuality the energy will be concentrated on the second chakra. If you are experiencing a disease and putting most of your attention on it, your energy is also in the second chakra. This chakra is located in the lower abdomen. It is related to pain, the emotions (fear, anger, frustration, depression, guilt, hatred, blame, worry, doubt etc.) and the water element.

The third chakra of power and control is where the victim/tyrant dynamic plays out. It is located in the solar plexus area (just below the sternum and above the belly button). It is represented by the element fire and the color yellow.

The fourth chakra is one of unconditional love, deeply felt yet not expressed in words; like that of a mother for her child. This mother would do anything for that child and is willing to make sacrifices yet is not skilled in communication or open enough to verbally articulate that unconditional love. In some traditions its color is green and in others violet blue. It is located in the center of the chest, just to the right of the physical heart. The fourth chakra is represented by the element air and it relates to respiration. It is known as bridge consciousness because it is located in the center, between the upper and the lower chakras; it is the link between the lower states of consciousness and the higher states of consciousness.

The fifth chakra is one of unconditional love expressed. This level relates to sound, our voice, expressing ourselves clearly and stating our intentions out into the world. It is about speaking our truth. Its location is the neck and is related to the element of ether or space. It relates to the process of manifestation: first, we have a thought; if we want to bring this inspiration into form, at some point we must, most likely, verbalize this idea so that it can make its way down the seals into the densest form of matter and materialization at the first plane. This stage of evolution is often seen as a grandmother who has unconditional love for her grandchild and is able to freely, easily and openly express that love.

The sixth chakra is the contact point between the Universal Mind/Divine Source/Universal Consciousness/The Infinite and the individual mind. It is a sending and receiving station; a transmitter and receiver of telepathic communications. This is seen in the individual who is clairvoyant (the ability to perceive beyond the five senses) or has the ability to remote view. Certain parts of the brain are activated so that one gains access to this information. Therefore every person has these abilities dormant and one just needs training to access them at will. This chakra is located in the center of the head and is related to the element light.

The seventh chakra is located at the top of the head and represents our direct connection to the Divine Source. Guidance comes directly to us from the Divine Source and is received through this chakra. The life force penetrates into our energy system through the crown and moves down through the other energy centers to the root chakra. From here we are inspired by the Universe, and filled with Grace, because we have a strong connection to a power greater than ourselves. Blocks in this chakra cause confusion, depression, senility, fear of success and lack of inspiration. The flow of spiritual energy is blocked in both directions. When this happens spiritual addiction and over intellectualizing occurs, as well as dissociation with the body.
